IDST CBCT CENTRE
The Institute has well equipped in house 3D Imaging modality Cone Beam Computed Tomography unit which accounts for 3 in 1 Imaging consisting of Panoramic, Lateral Cephalogram and Cone Beam Computed Tomography. The Centre has imaging softwares like Triana, Theia and Invivo 7 to have the best visualization of structures of head and neck region. These softwares help in providing fine details of hard and soft tissue structures, such as jaw, teeth, face where assessment is done in different planes of the body and can also be customised as per the need of the patients. IDST CBCT Centre is attached with DICOM Printer useful as per patient needs.
All Undergraduate and Post graduate students are trained in Basics of Image acquisition along with basic and advanced training of image interpretation to train them as a maxillofacial diagnostic radiologist.
The Centre not only caters to the need of patients coming to the Institute’s OPD but also serves as a centre for nearby dental practitioners and also students of other Institutes that do not have CBCT machines.
