General Medicine
The majority of medically compromised patients need oral health care, hence a working knowledge of the multitude of compromised conditions is essential for dental professionals.
The curriculum during the 3rd professional year of BDS includes training in General Medicine. The students acquire knowledge and skills of analyzing findings from patients history, signs and symptoms. Special emphasis is placed on assessment of Cardivascular, Endocrine, Metabolic, Respiratory and Renal diseases.
Head of the Department
Dr Saurabh gupta is head of department of general medicine at IDST. He has more than 14 years of vast clinical experience in this field.
Dr Saurabh gupta did his M.B.B.S. from reputed K. G. Medical college, lucknow and M.D. in internal medicine from G.S.V.M. Medical college, kanpur. He has done his senior residency at st. Stephen's hospital, New Delhi.
Dr. Saurabh gupta is a life member of association of physicians of India. He has authored and co-authored multiple papers presented at APICON & CSICON. Dr. Gupta has also done various advanced courses in management of diabetes and its complications, critical care management, & thyroid disorders. His area of special interest is in Diabetes care & cardiology.
