PG Programme
A post graduate student of the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology is trained under best supervision through preclinical lectures, seminars, clinical case presentations, journal clubs which have been specifically designed in a manner that provides for optimal growth and excellency in performance of the student. The Post Graduates are deliberated upon oral mucosal lesions, tumors, oral manifestation of systemic diseases, radiographic imaging principles and techniques and its interpretation. The post graduate are trained to use basic diagnostic procedures and techniques useful in recognizing the disease of the oral and paraoral tissues of local and constitutional origin and their medical management. Emphasis on palliative care and nonsurgical management of these diseases is also stressed during the course. The student is encouraged towards analytical and evidence based thinking and problem-solving methodology that increases his/her ability to evaluate the latest in research. The students are encouraged to participate in scholarly activities which are acclaimed at national and international conferences of the specialty.
