Department Achievements

  1. Dr Manish Khatri was the Principal Investigator of the three Studies in collaboration with IDA Head Office.
  2. Dr. Soumya Parmar postgraduate student (Batch 2023-2026) won “FIRST PRIZE” in poster presentation (implant category) in the Golden Jubilee National Conference of the Indian Society of Periodontology on 17th to 20th December 2025 at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath, New Delhi.
  3. Received Award of STS Fellowship ICMR Financial Support for 2025 of Rupees Fifty Thousand only (Rs 50,000/-) under the guidance of Dr. Manish Khatri.
  4. Received Award of STS Fellowship ICMR Financial Support for 2025 of Rupees Fifty Thousand only (Rs 50,000/) under the guidance of Dr. Nisha Parveen.
  5. Dr. Soumya Parmar postgraduate student (Batch 2023-2026) under the guidance of Dr. Manish Khatri, Dr. Mansi Bansal, received ISP MDS Dissertation Grant 2024 of Rupees One Lakh Seventy-Five Thousand only (Rs 1,75,000/).
  6. Dr. Aditi Dhama postgraduate student (Batch 2023-2026) under the guidance of Dr. Mansi Bansal, Dr. Manish Khatri, received Award of ICMR Financial Support for the ICMR MDS Thesis for 2023 Batch of Rupees One Lakh only (Rs 1,00,000/-).
  7. ORAL HYGIENE DAY was celebrated in the Department for the years 2020-2025 was celebrated with trifocal initiative to educate and motivate Oral hygiene Practices.
  8. On the occasion of National Periodontist Day 2025, an insightful Guest Lecture was delivered by Dr. H.S. Grover, President of the Indian Society of Periodontology about the latest research trends, including regenerative therapies and innovative surgical techniques. Academic activities including Perio Perfect Smiles, E- Poster, Slogan writing and Open Mic competitions were organized from 17th to 21st February 2025.
  9. Organized a “Guest Lecture” on “Finding a Dissertation Topic: The Initial Struggle” by Dr. Ashish Kumar, from Indian Society of Periodontology on 11th November 2024.
  10. Dr Divya Goyal postgraduate student (Batch 2021-2024) secured “FIRST” position in Scientific Paper Presentation at 14th ISPRP National Conference 2024 held at I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad, July 12-14, 2024.
  11. On the occasion of “WORLD ORAL HEALTH DAY” 2023, dental awareness camp was organized to educate and motivate the patients about periodontal health.
  12. Dr. Yashi Mishra postgraduate student (Batch 2021-2024) secured” FIRST POSITION” in poster presentation (implant category) at “INTEGRATE 2023” held at Sudha Rastogi College of Dental Sciences & Research, Faridabad.
  13. Dr. Novneet Kour BDS student (Batch 2018-2023) was awarded with certificate and prize from Indian Society of Periodontology for securing highest marks in subject “Periodontology”
  14. Celebrated “World Heart Day” with theme “Gum Care for Tooth Care” on 29th September 2022 highlighting the bidirectional link between cardiovascular disease and periodontal disease.
  15. Conducted a Lecture, Demonstration and Hands on Workshop on “Lasers In Dentistry- Current Concepts” by Dr. MallikaSethi Rishi on 30/05/22.
  16. Celebrated “Gum Health Day” on 12/05/22. Various academic activities including video making, slogan and poster making competitions were organized for all the students and faculty members.
  17.  Dr. Arti Mishra, postgraduate student (Batch 2020-23) Department of Periodontology, IDST was awarded with “Certificate of Commendation” for Scientic Paper presentation at the 20th ISP PG Convention held at Chandigarh from 22nd to 24th April 2022.
  18.  Dr. Shamiya Khan, postgraduate student (Batch 2020-23) Department of Periodontology, IDST was awarded with “Second Prize” during “TRIPAKSHEEY 2022” held by Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences & Research, Faridabad & ISP Study Group Delhi NCR on 31st March 2022.
  19.  Organized a lecture on “Demystifying Trauma From Occlusion” by Dr. Ashish Kumar, Editor, Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology on 22/03/22.
  20. Organized a lecture on “Role of Antibiotics in Dentistry” by Dr Neeraj Deshpande, Professor, Department of Periodontology, KM Shah Dental College, Vadodara on 18/01/22. 
  21. Online webinar on Diversity & Inclusion at Workplace by Miss Dhwani Jain, State President, WICCI as a part of “Gender Sensitization Programme” was organized on 21/12/21.
  22. “World Diabetes Day’’ was celebrated on 25/11/21. An awareness camp about effect of diabetes on gum health was organized in the OPD section of the Department.
  23. Conducted webinar on “Intellectual Property Rights” by Dr. Amit Bhardwaj, Professor & Head, Department of Periodontology, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram, on 29/10/21.
  24. Organized a lecture on “Research Methodology” by Dr. Ashish Kumar, Editor, Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology on 24/08/21.
  25. Organized “Career Counselling” lecture by  Alumni Dr Tanya Nandkeoliar, Assisstant Professor, Periodontology, RIMS, Imphal on 20/08/21. 
  26. “Sensitization Lecture” for Para Medical Staff of the Institute was organized on 09/08/21, 17/08/21 and 19/08/21.
