Department Achievements

  1. Conducted a Lecture, Demonstration and Hands on Workshop on “Lasers In Dentistry- Current Concepts” by Dr. MallikaSethi Rishi on 30/05/22.
  2. Celebrated “Gum Health Day” on 12/05/22. Various academic activities including video making, slogan and poster making competitions were organized for all the students and faculty members.
  3. Organized a lecture on “Demystifying Trauma From Occlusion” by Dr. Ashish Kumar, Editor, Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology on 22/03/22.
  4. Organized a lecture on “Role of Antibiotics in Dentistry” by Dr Neeraj Deshpande, Professor, Department of Periodontology, KM Shah Dental College, Vadodara on 18/01/22. 
  5. Online webinar on Diversity & Inclusion at Workplace by Miss Dhwani Jain, State President, WICCI as a part of “Gender Sensitization Programme” was organized on 21/12/21.
  6. “World Diabetes Day’’ was celebrated on 25/11/21. An awareness camp about effect of diabetes on gum health was organized in the OPD section of the Department.
  7. Conducted webinar on “Intellectual Property Rights” by Dr. Amit Bhardwaj, Professor & Head, Department of Periodontology, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram, on 29/10/21.
  8. Organized a lecture on “Research Methodology” by Dr. Ashish Kumar, Editor, Journal of Indian Society of Periodontology on 24/08/21.
  9. Organized “Career Counselling” lecture by their our Alumni Dr Tanya Nandkeoliar, Assisstant Professor, Periodontology, RIMS, Imphal on 20/08/21. 
  10. “Sensitization Lecture” for Para Medical Staff of the Institute was organized on 09/08/21, 17/08/21 and 19/08/21.   
  11. Oral Hygiene Day celebrations were organized on 2nd August 2021.
  12. Oral B and Listerine lecture was organized by the Department on 12/7/15, 21/7/2016, 01/08/17, 20/9/17, 01/08/18 and 01/08/19 as part of OralHealth Awareness in general public and students.
  13. ISP Training of Teacher’s programme was organized on 26/8/16 to 28/8/16.
  14. Participated in Quest with topic “Gingiva Recedes Esthetics Weeps” on 29/01/15 by Dr. Manish Khatri, Dr. Sumeet Mahajan and Dr. Varsha Sharma.
  15. A lecture was organized on Connective Tissue Graft for Root Coverage by Dr.VikramLikhari on 12/12/14.
  16. Organized a QUEST: Interdisciplinary approach on  31/7/12 by Dr. VipinAggrawal, Dr. Ashish Kumar and Dr. Tanya.
  17. Conducted a CDE and Hands on the topic Dental Diode Lasers – Technology is the Key on 14/2/12 by Dr. SmritiBharghav and Mr. Mark Chapman.
