The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry takes pride in its consistent commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and active participation in national platforms. Below are the key highlights of our recent endeavors.

Organization of Scientific & CDE Programs

The department regularly organizes Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programs, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and workshops to keep faculty and students abreast of the latest clinical advancements.

  • Comprehensive Course in Sedation Dentistry: A 3-day extensive workshop titled "Where Anxiety Ends and Confidence Begins" featuring experts Dr. Sanchit Paul, Dr. Radhika Chopra, Dr. Neeti Mittal, and team (Dec 4–6, 2025).
  • Nitrous Oxide Master Class: A specialized training session conducted by Dr. Kunal and Dr. Radhika Chopra (Dec 18, 2024).
  • Faculty Development Program: A research-focused session on "Research on Natural Extract: Step-by-Step Road Map" delivered by Dr. Brinda Godhi (Aug 8, 2023).

Special Care Dentistry Series:

  • "Understanding Autism: Strengths and Challenges" conducted by Dr. Sonali Kataria (Apr 19, 2023).
  • "ADHD" conducted by Dr. Sonal (July 1, 2023).

Awards and Accolades

The department is committed to public health initiatives and collective academic excellence, frequently receiving recognition for its outreach programs and institutional participation.

  • 2nd Prize – Children’s Oral Health Week: Recognized for a week-long initiative driven by postgraduate students to promote pediatric dental hygiene (Nov 23–30, 2022).
  • 3rd Prize – Teachers Day Celebration Week Contest: Secured during the celebrations associated with the 46th ISPPD National Conference (Nov 15, 2025).
  • Oral Health Awareness Rally: Successfully organized a public awareness rally in Modinagar city, including the distribution of educational pamphlets to the community (Dec 13, 2021).
