PG Programme

  1. PG program is aimed at inculcating higher order thinking and learning behaviour among students.
  2. The faculty provides assistance and guidance to the students for performing routine as well as complex treatment procedures in pediatric patients
  3. Special emphasis is laid on the research activities and individual attention is provided for successful conduction of research.
  4. PG students are taught to take comprehensive case histories, examination , how to carry out investigations for special cases.
  5. The students are trained to use special tools to identify cooperative and uncooperative children, children with other behavioural issues and those with special health care needs like Down’s syndrome , asthma, epilepsy etc.
  6. One of the main aspects of post graduate training is to learn behaviour modification of patients through various techniques and inculcate a positive attitude in the child patient as well as their parents.
  7. Post graduates are required to undergo training for treating patients under nitrous oxide inhalation sedation and general anesthesia on a regular basis.
  8. Training provided to students for advanced esthetic treatments like zirconia crowns/strip crowns.
  9. Students are encouraged to engage in community work by organising camps and visiting schools for dental check-up and treatment.v
  10. Attending conferences, CDE programs and other clinical training workshops pertaining to pediatric dentistry is a necessary part of the curriculum. Students are encouraged to participate in them and compete in various categories. Be it paper presentations, poster presentations, table presentations or video making, PGs always enjoy participating and bring accolades to the Institute.
