“THE RESTORATIVE BIOLOGY- Biomimetic Principles and Its Applications in Anterior and Posterior Esthetic Restorations”

Under the Flagship and Leadership of Dr. Vikram Gandhi, Secretary, DMET and our esteemed Principal Dr. Nidhi Agarwal, IDST Modinagar, conducted a two day CDE programme on the topic “THE RESTORATIVE BIOLOGY- Biomimetic Principles and Its Applications in Anterior and Posterior Esthetic Restorations” on the 19th& 20th December 2023 in the IDST Auditorium and Simulation Lab. The course mentor was the master himself Dr. Nikhil Bahuguna.
Learning Biomimetic Dentistry has never been easy! It was a very fruitful two-day programme with enthusiastic participation of our Postgraduate Students and Interns. The event started off with the Lighting of the Lamp to seek blessing of Goddess Sarawasti, followed by the inaugural speeches by the Principal. The event kicked-off on high note with captivating Lectures followed by Live demonstration under a Microscope and Hands-on under magnification in the state of art Simulation Lab. The Lectures, Demonstrations and Hands-on were conducted on the following – 
1. Direct Composite Veneer.
2. Pre-Fabricated Composite Edelweiss Dentistry Veneer.
3. Posterior Composite Restoration with the use of Restorative Fibers and Bulk Fill Techniques.
4. Post and Core using Minimally Invasive Pin Posts and Adaptive Flexible Glass Fibers
The event was concluded by valedictory function in which a token of appreciation was presented to our guest speaker by the Head of Organizing Committee Dr. Rishi Manan, Prof Head, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics. This event is yet another instance of highlighting the institute academic excellence in increasing the acumen of the students. A special thanks to our dynamic Secretary DMET, Dr. Vikram Gandhi for his constant support and motivation for making event a grand success.
